Taxis: Plenty of taxis in town; they are white pickups with a round sticker on the doors or yellow cars. 1 dollar for a one way from and to the market, or 10 dollars per hour and the driver will drive you where you need to go, advise you, he knows everything, and wait for you.

Water taxis: Run from 07:00-22:00. Call them on VHF Channel 14 “water taxi, water taxi, para velero “your vessel name” por favor”. Price is $1-$2 per person per ride. It is not a requirement to use a water taxi to get ashore, but as there is a groundswell that makes beach landings difficult and the seal population that lives around the floating pontoon at the wharf will sleep in your dinghy, it is easier to pay the fee and save your dinghy. Put a couple of fenders down to save your gel coat.

For a tour around the island, you can hire an open water taxi which takes eight people, (four inside and four in the tray).

There are five flights per week to the South American continent, then linking to international connections worldwide.
