Just finished the Suez Canal with the yachts of the fourth Vasco da Gama Rally and underway to India and unpleasant surprised to hear at the checkout in the Ismailia Yacht Club that the Suez Canal Authorities have increased the mooring prices for their 3 yacht clubs by the first of June 2009 to 40%.

The new Prices are now;

Yachts up to 10 meter LOA, USD 16 USD per day

Yachts up to 15 meter LOA USD 21 USD per day

Yachts longer as 15 meter LOA 30 USD per day

The monthly prices are 25 times a day price.

Port Fouad in Port Said is now renovated, but still very turbulent. Yachts need own anchor. Good service by Felix Yacht Agency.

Ismailia yacht club, only a few moorings other yachts need own anchor. Anchoring opposite the club free of charge.

Suez Yacht club has now a floating dock, moorings and free wireless. Good service by the Yacht Club and the staff of Felix Yacht agency.
