Coral Bay is the center of the cruising community on St. John. There are many private moorings as well as room to anchor. Most of the Hurricane Irma and Maria debris have been removed. The Coral Bay Yacht Club (Facebook) has meetings the first Tuesday of the month and sponsors Coral Harbor cleanups, flotillas, and races. The town dock provides easy access to Skinny Legs and Rhumblines restaurants. A short walk towards the West and a left at the crossroads takes you Ekaete Pink Corner for good homecooked West Indian food. Continuing are the dumpsters and Pickles in Paradise (no food) with art, ceramics, and yoga. Across from the dumpsters is Love City Mini Market that is well stocked with beer and liquor and has the best prices for potato chips. A quarter mile further takes you to Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis with value priced American food (dinner Tuesday-Saturday). Next door is The Danforth with finer dining and live music, Jolly Dog beach wear, Zemi Jewelry, and Spa LaLa. Next door is Cocoloba Plaza with Dolphin Market (best price on Cruzan Rum), Delyvanne Breakfast, Crabby’s Watersports, and Aqua Bistro restaurant with al fresco dining and good food with Live Music.

If you want to head to the Salt Pond Bay National Park Beach or Cruz Bay you can take the Vitran bus from the crossroads bus stop – https://www.vitranvi.com/ride/schedules/st-john-route-109-inbound-coral-bay-cruz-bay

Beautiful and peaceful. Very good snorkelling and the anchorage is a sandy bottom. In the hurricane hole, you can find a lot of cruisers with private moorings. It is a better anchorage in the coral bay and more beautiful.
