Fajardo - Docking
Following the 2017 Hurricane Season, Grand Caribbean Marinas owned by the Italian Bacalia Group acquired Marina Puerto Chico, Sea Lover’s Marina (now The Reserve), Villa Marina (now Renaissance Villa Marina) and the Sardinera Dry Stack, all of which are located in Fajardo.
Grand Caribbean Marinas now controls more than 2200 marina spaces covering wet slips and dry stacks.
After Hurricane Maria in 2017, many marinas in this area sustained damage as evidenced by press photographs and media helicopter flyovers. Puerto del Rey sustained some damage to yachts, but all the concrete docks survived. Palmas del Mar had multiple sunken yachts. SunBay Marina saw two boats sink and a boat that was not properly tied broke away from its slip. See their report in Related User Comments.

Report from SunBay Marina:
Translation:
Sunbay Marina had no problems during the two hurricanes. The southern part of Irma passed through our area, Maria entered through the North of the Marina and then into the South.
Sails were shredded and booms bent, but everything else is very good. A sailboat came loose as it was not tied up properly and sank and two other boats on A dock sank three days after the hurricane after putting up a good fight.
Now we have no light, only water and we are really trying to prevent damage to any more boats because the shorelines are not connected.
We are living day by day, it is difficult but not impossible. The important thing is that the marina behaved as my husband always said that it would because of how it was built.
Thanks for writing, Greetings to all and Happy Thanksgiving !!! This year, more than ever, we have to thank our friends for their interest in us.
Nice anchorage off the Isleta Marina. Being that it is private, they will allow you to tie up your dinghy in the marina and use the ferry service to Fajardo for a fee of 5$ per person per day. No charge to tie up dinghy if using the laundry or restaurant. We could pick up their wifi from the anchorage. The ferry runs until 2230, later on, weekends, but check with a driver each day for any changes.
