Tanapag Harbour (Saipan) - Docking
Harbor control will allocate an anchoring area – most likely at N14 (15 13.9560 N 145 44.1060 E).
The N14 anchorage is shallow (less than 10m) and has excellent holding, although does suffer from chop which can make anchoring here a little uncomfortable.
The inner harbor does provide good shelter, but it is on a first-come, first-serve basis and gets very crowded.
Smiling Cove Marina (15 13.0478 N 145 43.4282 E) no longer services transient yachts. It is possible however to tie your dinghy up here for free as it is close to the center of Garapan Town.
Outer Cove Marina, closed down in 2015.
