YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. We spent several nice days here in the marina during some bad north winds. Pontoon A is reserved for visitors, water and electricity available, call up marinero on ch67 on arrival.
Great shelter from all winds with no swell.
Great town outside the marina with lots of shops and many tavernas.
A nice port to spend time.
Hi,
I am in Rethymno at the moment. I am in the ‘Marina’- an unmanaged marina.
You can email the local government (who run it) using lim-reth@otenet.gr and there is a website but you cannot book on it.
Pontoon C is best – on left-hand side as you come in (all have prominent letters). There was no official help when we came in (or answer on the VHF Ch 67 – that I was told about on email). Another yachtie helped with ropes etc. If nobody is there then the bollards look OK to lasso.
The local authority charged us approx €6.50 per day mooring, €2.00 per day elect & €5.00 per day water (expensive for water but overall cheap).
There are toilets and a shower – I wouldn’t use them though.
Looks safe in bad weather.
Town is nice, lots of things to do and bars/restaurants, etc.
