There are 2 catamarans that seem to be permanently moored in the bay on buoys and a monohull that was anchored ( with a stern anchor ) and looked like he’d been there a while. We didn’t put a stern anchor out and we were behind the wall so not so much swell. We got our main anchor wrapped around a lump of metal and it took 2 hours to untangle it with diving gear. So be aware of possible debris. There were other cruising boats here and no one had a stern anchor out.

We put our dinghy on the main dock, but you will want to use an anchor because there are local boats moored and the dinghy will drift under their lines if you don’t.

We found 4 different supermarkets, all quite well stocked.

The restaurant seemed to be closed ( permanently?) . Follow the main road from the anchorage and walk around to the left before you get to the community building and there is a pizza takeaway place and next door a cafe that has WiFi. If you walk to the community building there is a post office and 2 ATM’s.

There are a number of recycling bins, the nearest seems to be at the community centre car park.

If we’ve missed something then it may be on our website :www.untilthebuttermelts.com
