Port Ghalib - Docking
There is no option to anchor here, you must pay for a berth at the marina.
Marina:
A prior reservation is required before entering the marina. The marina closes at 4pm.
The marina has approximately 60 Med-style berths for yachts up to 60m.
Berthing is bow or stern-to the quay with electricity and water (non-potable) on the quay at extra charge. A port inflatable will assist with the mooring lines. Slipway service for boats up to 20m. Very limited repair services available and no showers or laundry. The resort pool is only for resort guests, although there is a buffet restaurant that berth holders can use and a small supermarket in the marina.
Larger and much cheaper grocery stores plus a bakery are just 10 -15 minutes’ walk away. ATMs can be found in the harbor area.
There are buses to El QuseirSafaga and Hurghada at the main gate about 2km from the basin.
Note: The Coast Guard prohibits moving around inside Port Ghalib by boat between the hours of 1800 and 0800 – this includes dinghies.
