There are three small shops located on Home Island. Shop hours are very limited as are fresh fruit and vegetables. Supplies on Home Island are almost on par with West Island, except for alcoholic beverages.

Supermarkets

Pre-order your provisions through the Cocos Islands Co-operative Society.

Some fresh produce arrives with each flight and is available in the store the following day. On the other hand, when the supply ship arrives and the containers are finally unloaded, what can only be described as a feeding frenzy occurs at the store.

  • Monday to Friday 08:30-15:00,
  • Wednesday afternoon 15:00-19:30,
  • Saturday morning 08:30-12:00.

    Currently, no quarantine rubbish (i.e.anything not bought in Cocos) is permitted to be disposed of in any of the Cocos islands. Apparently, an incineration facility is planned for the future. Yachts are expected to take their rubbish away with them.
