While the protocols below are as accurate as per the last date recorded, the situation is constantly changing with regards to Covid-19 protocols for yacht arrivals and skippers should always check with their intended port of arrival before getting underway to be 100% certain of what is required.
COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS:
21 May, 2020:
- Assuming all pre-clearance procedures have been followed (see clearance), on arrival the vessel and all crew on board are to undergo health screening and a Covid 19 Swab Test. This will cost BND / SGD 1000 for the test for each person.
- Fourteeen days quarantine on board is then required and you will be charged monitoring fees for each crew member.

Present construction of the three bridges in Brunei involves a lot of foreign flagged support boats etc, which all need diesel and which take petrol etc to the water-based construction sites.
They normally have all the fuel from that riverine filling station pre-booked. And because they are foreign flagged the filling station is charging the international price. It is still possible to get diesel from vehicle filling stations. Contact us for details.

INCREASE IN FUEL PRICES:
As of December 2015, the Shell fuel dock in Brunei (up the river from Muara) is charging foreign yachts and additional BND$1 / liter. This is a 500% increase in the price they were charging just a month before.
