Clarence Bay, Georgetown - Activities, Attractions & Shopping
Ascension Island has two swimming pools that are free to use and which are open to the public. Georgetown has a saltwater pool. Behind the Two Boats Club in Two Boats village can be found a larger freshwater pool.
Ascension is a breeding ground for green sea turtles, their nests and tracks evident on the many beaches. A trip up Green Mountain is very rewarding.
Tours are arranged via the Tourist Information Office (tourism@ascension.gov.ac), the following are available:
- Full Island Tour: £80.00 (for up to 8 people, this is the total rate NOT per person!)
- Guided Walks: £40.00 (for up to 6 people)
- Mars Bay Soot tern colony tour: £40.00 (for up to 8 people)
- Turtle Tours: £5 per person
