St. John’s - Docking
The inner harbor between the deep water port and St John’s waterfront provides a good anchorage with the secure holding in mud for yachts drawing less than 9ft. Ensure you anchor on the 12ft shelf and not in the dredged cruise ship turning circle. No fees are charged for anchoring here.
The new Dingy Dock in St John’s is located at the root of the quay to the south of the cruise ship dock.
Limited docking and facilities are available at Redcliffe Quay. This is an attractive area of shops and restored the historic building, but probably best avoided when a cruise ship is in the harbor.
Groceries and other provisions are readily available in St. Johns and often cheaper than from other parts of the island.

Cleared out in St John’s in May’18. You need to first go to port authority in the main harbor to obtain a document then back to Customs & Immigration next to Redcliffe Quay. EseaClear not available so all paper-based. Friendly staff but a lengthy process. If you can, clear out in English or Jolly Harbour.
