Description:

This very attractive and sheltered little bay (also known as English Harbour because of its use as a base by the British Special Squadron in 1944/45) is tucked away on the southern shore at the east end of the Gulf of Gokova Korfezi.

It had become a popular place to over-winter.  However, this bay is now closed to yachts (see comments section).

Position:  

36° 56.82’N, 28° 11.36’E (bay entrance)

    Parts of Gökova Bay are now closed off. Okluk Bay-Değirmen Bükü – English Harbour area – inside the Bay will be closed. During the past summer the Bay was closed a few times for a short time. But as of now, Okluk Bay-Değirmen Bükü area will be closed for sailing all the time.
