There are 7 mooring buoys here not 6 as per my previous note.
The mooring costs 1000 per night. We also bought cooked lobster at 3000 per lobster.
We bought honey at 2000 for 1 litre. Valentine wasn’t doing dinner.

We think there are 6 mooring buoys , around the outside, set in a horseshoe shape. We anchored in 18 m in the middle but it took 3 tries to set the anchor to set due to coral.
We went to valentines and Gaston’s house/restaurant for dinner on Sunday night, she said she doesn’t usually do dinner on Sunday but she had other people who had booked already. 4000 pp for dinner, we took our own drink although she said she usually has beer but she had run out. There is a dinghy dock. Make sure you go over in the day to check if she can accommodate you.

We picked up a mooring buoy just near to the town, 6 metre depth approx location 15 49 .256 S 145 007. 040 W. There are 5 mooring buoys and they seemed to be in good order. We took the dinghy to town but thereisn’t anywhere to tie your dinghy onto. The stone wharf has started to crumble away at the end. We put the dinghy on the beach. We couldn’t see any large rubbish bins but there was an old oil bin near to the beach and we used this. It must have been ok because we were seen putting it in there and it was picked up by the bin men.
There are 3 shops here and although they had opening times on the doors they seemed to not adhere to them. Although they were open each week day morning until 12 noon.
This was a really nice quiet atoll and the people were very friendly, good snorkelling on the reef. We were on the buoy for 2 weeks during 40+knots of wind.
