Connecting cruisers in the time of Covid 19
Cruisers contemplating crossing the Atlantic back to Europe or remaining in the Caribbean or US East Coast will now have access to OCC Facebook Groups.
Published 5 years ago
The unprecedented upheaval in the world and movement restrictions call for all cruisers to pull together and assist each other as much as possible. To this end, the Ocean Cruising Club is opening some of its Facebook groups to non-members who have boats in the Caribbean or east coast of North America.
Discussions are already underway about working together for possible Atlantic transits and for the best solutions if boats are to remain in the Caribbean or east coast of North America.
The two Facebook groups are:
– OCC Atlantic Crossing West to East group
– OCC Caribbean Net+ group
These groups are open to OCC members, but if any cruisers who are not members of the OCC would like to join please go to the appropriate group and click ‘Join’. You will be asked three questions to verify your intentions.
Please note that these groups are solely for cruisers who are facing the very real problems of having their boats at risk with the western Atlantic and Caribbean hurricane season on the horizon.
