Sea Stewardship is active throughout the archipelago of Kiribati Line Islands. They partner with local communities and regional groups to build social and environmental resilience. The project is a pragmatic response to crises brought upon by climate change and the intensifying loss of biological and cultural diversity worldwide. They provide professional and hands-on skill sets including assessments, training, transportation and a well equipped, sailing mothership. They use their 70-foot sailing vessel ‘Rosalie Clare’ to link people, materials, and ideas between distant communities across enormous expanses of water.
