Dr. Catherine Hebson, director of Free Cruising Guides, said that all 11 of the guides offered by Free Cruising Guides (www.freecruisingguides.com) will be offered in Spanish by the end of the year at a rate of approximately one per month.  She said that the company is very committed to the users of the guides and is working hard to anticipate cruiser needs and make the guides the go-to resource for sailors whether they are actively cruising or in the planning stages.

The editor of Free Cruising Guides, Nathalie Virgintino, said that the decision to make the translations were based on the many inquiries that the company is receiving, in particular from Spanish speaking cruisers, to have the guides available in their native language.

It is the company’s hope that with the advent of the Spanish editions the download rate of the guides, currently at an annualized rate of more than 35,000 copies, will continue to increase.

Freecruisingguides.com was a website that housed all of Frank Virgintino’s FREE cruising guides for the Caribbean. This website is no longer in operation and all Virgintino’s guides must now be purchased through Amazon.

The SSCA [www.ssca.org] have all guides on their website – available to members.
It’s also possible to search on Google where you can still find some versions hosted on cruisers’ websites.
